I have replaced my noisy 16 year old pump and tank with this 1hp pump. and a 36-gallon AO Smith tank. As other reviews have noted the pressure switch supplied is not good, yes they were right, when plugged in and turned on it did not work. I bought the switch before I started replacing the pump so I don't have to run out in the middle of the replacement process. Switch swapped and lit. When I took it off I looked at the switch with no cover, it was all bent. It won't start because I found it sucking air out of the well. Went down the well and found the pipe was not attached, removed it from the well and found the bottom valve was junk. Went and got a new bottom valve and installed it with double clamps on all my ports. The pump runs great. I have a 40/60 pressure switch. It takes about 2 minutes to start up at 40 and ramp down at 60. It is very quiet compared to the old one. Great water pressure for all home needs, toilet fills up in 30 seconds, shows, washes car, waters flowers etc. Less than a week since installed, hopefully lasts as long as my other pump.
