Used for an electronic door viewer and works perfectly. Reading the comments, let me say that I did not receive the adapter or expect it to fit the standard SD slot. So no "adapter". What I REALLY got was a USB 2 adapter to plug into my computer (if desired). I really wanted to test format vs raw and luckily it was raw. A bit confusing because it looks like you have to put it BACK in the USB adapter because it looks like the "gold connecting fingers" are in the hole. Not so! Just plug it into the copper strips as you normally would when using an adapter. If you don't use a USB adapter (like me), just plug it into your hardware first. It does not lock when placed upside down. Another poster said his drive was already formatted as a C drive while mine was blank and not formatted as expected. The little chained USB adapter won't be used until one day I rebuild it for something else. I would ACTUALLY prefer to use a mini SD card adapter instead of a USB adapter for future use, but I already have them so no problem. I'm satisfied, it works, it has a large capacity and it doesn't cost too much. The little chained USB adapter won't be used until one day I rebuild it for something else.
