Review on 🔒 Apexstone Soft Close Lid Support: Ensuring Safety and Convenience with Soft Down Lid Hinge (Set of 2) by Chris Sandridge

They make great toy boxes for toddlers. I wasn't sure what sturdy racks I needed to add a "soft close" feature to our son's old wooden toy box. The upper limit is probably between 12 and 15 pounds if I had to guess. One of them now has the lid closing slowly, taking 5 or 6 seconds to go from fully open to fully closed. Works well and now I have an extra stand to use elsewhere. I didn't look at the instructions as the installation is quite easy. I looked at the picture to see which direction the rack should be mounted, but the installation is very quick and basically just drilling 5 pilot holes and screwing in 5 screws. 3 for the bottom bracket and 2 for the top bracket. The challenge is to align everything so that the lid can close completely and the frame does not rub against anything when you move it.
