That's right, I didn't need conditioner, I got a balanced wash

So I haven't used commercial shampoos and conditioners for several years. I usually use the "no poop" method: rinsing with food grade iodine and rinsing with organic apple cider vinegar. I was very happy with it. I re-read the online article I read when I first decided to try this method as I had issues with vinegar making my hair look greasy. It's NOT very oily, but if it looks oily, the effect is the same. Apple cider vinegar creates a smooth, silky and shiny effect. But if the ratio of vinegar to water in the rinse aid is slightly off, it will end up looking greasy. Anyway, in the article, the author mentioned several other methods of protection against feces, including shampoo. Long story short I came to Revain looking for a good all natural bar with no parabens, falates etc. I bought this one. Holy cow. I couldn't believe I wouldn't need air conditioning; but I was away and at home so I experimented. I washed it with a bar, rinsed it out and let my hair dry. I was expecting a curly, unwieldy mush that I couldn't comb through. Wow, there is no such thing. I'm in love with this bar. I use jojoba oil on my face and hands so I feel at home with jojoba oil and other oils. What I am very happy about and what I did not expect is the BALANCE, which does not need air conditioning. The hair is soft, manageable, easy to comb wet. quite shiny but not "smooth" and the last wash which was my first wash with this product was 3 days ago and it's still as clean as the first day. I'm glad if you use soda/ACV and it works for you. This has been the case for me for a long time. But I found my new approach. I don't have a dry scalp. no dandruff, no excess oil, so my scalp and hair don't need any special care. Also, with my previous poop-free method, I was able to go 3-4 days without washing. So if you're new to shampooing, you're giving your hair a learning curve. Your scalp is used to being dry from shampoo and under-hydrated from conditioner; Hang in there, your mind will find a new normal. This bar is a great place to start :-). Update 04.07.2019: I still don't need conditioner, I fell in love with this product even more :-).
