The main problem was that the screw part was too long for the thickness of the cabinet we were trying to attach it to, so we took small black rubber buttons and attached them. screws first. Also, the shape of the hole doesn't fit mugs with wider handles - typical handmade mugs or heavy mugs - so we had to bend them with big pliers so they could be used with the mugs we have. But they look good, survived the bend unscathed and we use them every day.
