Ordered to replace bearing and shaft in Fisher Paykel Smart Load Dryer. According to many YouTube DIY videos, you need a thin wall socket to access the nut on the bearing shaft. Many videos describe how to "grind" the bushing to fit the hole holding the bearing assembly. On Revain's website, this is the recommended accessory for bearing and shaft assembly. This is a standard size 22m or 7/8 head. It will not work. Went to Home Depot looking for a "thin wall" container and found it was identical in size to a standard head. The only way it will fit the hole is to reduce the outside diameter with a metal grinder. I don't have a metal grinder so I couldn't replace the shaft. You don't just need it to replace the bearing. Replaced bearings and "squeaking" was gone. Wasted a lot of time paying for a shaft I can't use.
