My oil tank is underground and you don't need a leak. My oil supplier told me I had water in the tank. I was alarmed and concerned that I might have a leak. Replacing the tank is an expensive and tedious process. I wanted to make sure before going through this process. I bought Gasoila, put something on the dipstick and checked my tank. When I pulled out the wand, Gasoila indicated that there was water in my tank. About 1/2 inch. I rented an oil tank water pump and pumped the water out until the oil came out. I cleaned the grass and dirt from where the oil tank cap was. My tank was filled with oil. Over the next 2 weeks and every month I checked my tank. NO WATER. The problem I had was that I was growing grass around the gas cap and the gas cap would not close completely. When it rained, water got into the tank. Thanks to Gasoila for letting me check it myself.
