I have a degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering so I felt ready to start a new CAT 8 network line from scratch even though I had never made my own before made network cable. LinkUp has good instructions with a video available on Youtube and the terminal block inside the connector is color coded making it pretty easy. I did a total of 4 runs (8 RJ45 connectors) with 100% success on the first try. These LinkUp RJ45 plugs are heavy duty and as you can see in the photo they require about 3 inches of space behind the ports to connect. CAT-8 cables are also thick and difficult to pull through. If you're doing multiple passes, I recommend the LinkUP Easy Press Jack Tool (unless you have an iron fist); This tool greatly simplifies the installation of cables.
