They are perfect. I use them to grow shiitake mushrooms in agar. Significantly cheaper than buying Petri dishes with lids. Great price, tight seal and great for warm liquids too. The packaging also states that they are BPA-free. Each roll is also individually wrapped, which I really appreciate. To update; I'll buy another pack of these. They are perfect for my agar cultures. They are sealed and I drop them all the time and the lids never come off. I even poured agar into SABs without wiping them, and none of them were contaminated and have been growing cultures on them for two weeks (I don't recommend this, I'm experimenting and I'm lazy too). I'm just saying that they are free from impurities; pretty sterile for ketchup cups. I almost bought another brand but then I said no they are perfect why are they changing
