To save money I recently decided to do all the laundry and dry at home in my small apartment. The biggest issue was where to effectively dry my clothes after washing. This shelf was exactly what I expected and exactly what I needed. Only one tool was required to assemble the stand, a Phillips screwdriver. All construction elements are simply plugged into each other, the shelves are only attached to the central tower with screws. At first I thought that the steel tubes that make up most of the structure are too light, but after putting everything together, it turned out that they are actually quite strong, and if you take care of them, they will be long last a long time. Perhaps the best thing about this shelf is that it fits perfectly in my shower tray allowing anything you want to drip off your clothes and the water to just conveniently flow down the drain. The base is on wheels, and while they won't let your drying rack set any ground speed records, it's really nice to be able to roll it around even when loaded with clothes. The entire empty rack weighs a little more. 5 pounds when you pick it up, but so far it's held almost a whole load of clothes with no problem. Grandma won't have a problem pushing this around.
