Lightweight, tears easily BUT

It's definitely for indoor use but I really don't know what I would use anything else for. When I pick up a roll of duct tape, I usually use it for heavy-duty tasks. I bought this tape to replace the worn out tape holding two lightweight mats together. Carpets are indoors on an attached enclosed porch. I did this a few days ago and it's already coming off the mat. I decided to try a light canvas pad over breaks in my hot tubs and after a few hours it swelled and became unusable. He doesn't like sunbathing. Does not like heat indoors. Disappointed to say the least.
