I really enjoyed my first push of a button. I've read a lot of reviews that showed Mylar (plastic wrap) isn't very good, but the only thing I've found is that if you don't get the first part of the abs right the first time, you won't get one second chance. Because of this, Mylar is considered "bad". Some of the plastic backings had small defects in the form of protruding pieces, but they were easy to cut and smooth. All in all, this is a great machine if you want to make buttons quickly and easily. It is also recommended to use photo paper as well as regular printer paper if you want your pin to look better as you can clearly see the lack of glass on standard printer paper behind Mylar. Would buy again and look forward to buying other platen sizes so I can make a wider range of pen sizes.
