2001 Honda Accord V6 - Love this shot. I'm glad I bought it.

Installation on my 2001 Honda Accord V6 coupe took approximately forty five minutes. Installation difficulty was moderate (make sure you have a good set of socket wrenches) and instructions are lacking if you're low on mechanical know-how. Just take your time and look at the instructions. For my car I had to buy aftermarket hose clamps as they are not included (using existing clamps) and they don't fit all hoses in my car. After installation I can hear the difference when the car starts and stops. There's a very, very faint hiss when you step on the gas (sounds good). It won't be noticeable to most, but if it's your car you'll notice. This thing lights up when you hit the ground. Once the revs are above 3000 VTECH kicks in and the car sounds like it's about to kick some rear end! As for mpg, I can't tell if there was an increase or not. I had a similar trick on my 99 chord and it helped a bit. But on my current engine, it's funny to hear VTECH sucking in all that air, so I'm probably wasting more fuel on the effect. HP increases. Not very much, but definitely noticeable (for all skeptics, one HP corresponds to the additional power per ONE horse). I have no regrets about this purchase and am glad I took it with me. This is the easiest upgrade you can do yourself. At least a lifetime filter will pay for itself in a few years. So if you want a car to sound worse when you hit the gas, a small increase in performance and possibly a small increase in fuel economy, this is the intake manifold. To you.
