They cost next to nothing, but you get what you pay for. I see them as disposable items. If you're looking for a quality tape measure this isn't for you, but if you need a lot of tape measures for very little money and use them infrequently, they may be perfect. I personally will spend a little more money for better quality next time, but for the price I think it's a fair deal. The first package I received was wrong and I had to return and resend the order, but they quickly refunded the money and sent me the items I ordered.
