Looks good, but where it counts, it's not enough!

I bought this for the same reasons others did - the heavy chain and guard make it SEEM safe. But that's not the case. The large end of the stainless steel chain, located on the side of the door jamb, is connected to the holder with a short, thin screw that works too weakly. The washer that prevents the screw from being pulled out has a large hole, so any force will likely pull the screw. and a guard outside. It makes the woman feel better, but I suspect that all but the very best chain locks are usually useless.
