It came with clear instructions and all the details. For me, these were the main advantages of the product. If you bought this fully assembled for $40, that's not bad. For something that took an experienced builder (me) over an hour and cost $120 I wasn't happy at all. Everything in the design speaks of profit, the thinnest drawer slides, really low-quality chipboard (chipboard) that easily breaks off, etc. Worst of all were plugs with an eccentric lock. I've never had any problems with it before assembling other parts. The connectors did not match the cams perfectly and were poorly fastened, sometimes bent. These are not the standard cams and connectors you get in an IKEA piece of furniture, they are made from a much lighter and thinner material which seems odd to skimp on as they hold the piece together. While it's better than a couple of bench boxes in the corner, it's hardly a good dorm room setup, let alone something you'd love to have in your home. If it weren't for all the good reviews, I'd just buy another decent filing cabinet from IKEA or Wayfair for the same money.
