I really wanted this headset to work. There is a mute function on the cord (along with a volume control), and without pressing a button during my first 3 calls, the headset quickly sent "mute, mute, mute". In the short time that I've been using it, I've found that the earbud heats up the ear uncomfortably. Spending hours a day with the headset on is no good. During the conversation, I heard a slight hiss every time I spoke, but it was all short-lived as the messages displayed were constantly being muted. By the way, I called a colleague and he could not hear the mute on the air, and although it was repeatedly stated that the mute was on, it had no effect on the receiver's side. Unfortunately, Plantronics doesn't seem to make quality products in the way you're used to. I also recently bought (2) sets of Backbeat Fit Headsets as a gift for a friend and both died in the water instantly.
