I've had this backpack for over 4 years and it's still holding up great. He traveled all over the world, to the USA and flew everywhere. It was packed with laptops, tablets, and textbooks, as well as water bottles and supplies. None of the zippers snapped or started to twist. None of the nets came loose. The only damage I can see is that my right shoulder strap is slightly frayed, but even that still has a lot of thread and is securely fastened. It was one of the best long-term investments I've ever made considering how useful the thrashing was, how it holds up, and the price it was initially. I'm curious about the Targus messenger bag that I lost due to my first marriage. If it's the Targus standard then consider buying a different one even if I don't really need it yet. 6 out of 5 stars, easy. (This is all assuming they haven't outsourced to China or the quality has degraded in any way. This 2011 bag model I have is amazing.)
