*********************************** * ****** ************************** TO UPDATE. 01/20/2014 So far the router has been working fine, all torrents have been downloaded directly to USB flash drives in ports on the back of the router (choose flash drives instead of hard drives to reduce energy costs). ************************************************** **** ***** ***** ************ I bought this router because for all its specs, USB ports, and incredible price, it didn't have the Fancy bulbs features design from others, but instead it works well. bother playing around with the belking firmware, right out of the box i flashed ddwrt mini and a big build and then tomato******** just in case the correct totomato flash process to flash is ddwrt first and tomato:1. Reset 30/30/302. Unplug the power cord from the router. 3. Press the WPS button. 4. Reconnect the power cord while HOLDING THE WPS BUTTON. Wait about 10 seconds while still pressing the button! 6. In Chrome/IE (not FIREFOX) go to 192.168.2.17. On the website they gave you, download the mini build with ddwrt (go to their website to download it and choose the right build) 8. wait about 8 minutes. Do not close the browser window and do not unplug the LAN or power cable9. another reset on 30.30.3010. Login to ddwrt at 192.168.1.111. Go to firmware update option in ddwrt12. load large assembly 13. wait about 8 minutes14. another 30.30.3015. Navigate again to the firmware update option in ddwrt16. This time you need to add the tomato assembly (I like buggy builds), don't forget to change the tomato assembly filename to the .bin17 extension. other 30.30.3018. Login to 192.168.1.1 (default username and password admin admin) 19. Enjoy, you are in tomatousb**************** Once on tomato you will get many Features and a very easy to use setup, I now use this router as a torrent machine so I don't have to keep my computer on all the time. Performance is good and reliable, if something happens to this feature I will update this review.
