The Iomega 20GB Portable Hard Drive (USB 1.1/2.0) is the ultimate portable hard drive. This hard drive can be connected via USB 1.1 or USB 2.0. However, it is not recommended to connect it to a USB hub. It is recommended to connect it to the USB port on the back of the computer. Iomega recommends formatting this drive to FAT32 only. Iomega does not sell carrying cases for this drive, but many third-party manufacturers have carrying cases that fit this drive. The drive built into the case is a 4200 RPM HDD, but it's fast with USB 2.0 and fairly fast with USB 1.1. Iomega sells a Firewire module for this device that comes with a Firewire module and Firewire cable. I use this hard drive to transfer data from home to the office so 20GB is enough for what I use it for. I will buy a larger external hard drive for data storage. SimpleTech has a SimpleDrive Deluxe model that comes with a carrying case, power adapter, USB 1.1/2.0 cable, and Firewire cable all in one package.
