    Compact, fast, but not USB powered

    This portable hard drive is a great solution when you need to transfer files from PC to PC. 20GB is a decent amount in my opinion, and it's very easy to connect. The only downside is that it's not USB powered like a Zip portable drive. That means you also need to carry an AC adapter, which I think makes it less portable. Additional adapters can be purchased from the iomega website. Leave one at home and one in the office and you have full mobility.

    Probably the best portable hard drive on the market today

    I have both this Iomega 20GB portable hard drive and another Archos 20GB hard drive and recommend them who buy the Iomega. Of course, this Iomega drive isn't the fastest, smallest, or cheapest 20GB portable drive, but it comes with a driver that just works. drops an annoying BSOD bomb, always at the most inopportune moment. The Iomega drive, on the other hand, seems to be much more reliable and works great every time. The 4200RPM speed is a bit underestimated, but given that you'll never get…

    The Iomega 20GB Portable Hard Drive (USB 1.1/2.0) is the ultimate portable hard drive. This hard drive can be connected via USB 1.1 or USB 2.0.
