I bought these boots for my sister's older dog. The poor thing has trouble slipping on the hard wooden floor. Sometimes we have to help her get up. I bought them in hopes that they will help her become a more independent dog. Pros: - They definitely help her get up and down the wooden floor! - They protect their paws. Suitable for short walks on hot asphalt - Don't mind wearing them! Your mileage may vary.- You look funny and make us smile. Disadvantages: - They affect her gait. Wearing them all the time can cause joint problems. They tend to slip off unless you strap them very tight. I would be concerned about blood flow with prolonged use. My Opinion: They're great for relatively short periods of time, but I don't see them as the perfect solution to the hardwood floor problem that many older dogs have. You can't expect to leave them with your dog all the time. Great product if your expectations are realistic. 4 out of 5
