I have to admit I was very surprised at how well these boots endured a 3 mile hike through mud, rocks, gravel and a small stream (not waterproof). I would say about 95% of this hike was gravel. The boots didn't tear and my pup's paws were fine. Used one of the boots for the second time (mostly dirt track) and the boot still looks great. Will use them regularly on our hikes to see how long they last.

I live in Southern California and the concrete around our pool was so hot my 14 year old lab couldn't keep up the swim. heart because he has always been our pool puppy.
