They stay on and improve traction

We only use them on the rear legs. He hates anything on his front legs. Getting your foot fully into the shoe is quite difficult. The pads of the dog's paws stretch inward. The boots stay put but tend to rotate so the sole lands on his foot. He has a bad hip and makes a fuss. So when he pushes with his foot, the shoe rotates. They can be worn outside as long as the area is dry. Snow or wet grass will cause the dog's paws to remain wet after stepping on it. Be prepared to change or remove your shoes before going outside. Velcro tends to collect hair and lint. When everything is in place, they offer better support, but not as much as socks with softer plastic panels on the bottom. These boots hold up better than socks but have less grip.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Hard to tell
