Standard Quality Wall Plate

In the past, when I replaced a standard toggle switch with a Decora in a 2-way box, I simply swapped them both out to use a standard 2-way Decora plate. But if you're adding a dimmer, touch switch, GCFI, or any other device that requires a Decora plate, that's fine as long as you don't want to replace a toggle switch next to it. In my case it was a three position toggle switch, I didn't have a decorative one, it was just cheaper and easier to get the plate. The record itself is standard Leviton quality. It's also about the same size as standard two-piece panels. Mine was about a nail's width wider than the other two boards I compared it to. It had a standard rib pattern on the back and was intended to be as strong as needed to prevent breakage. fix things. Make sure the holes are a standard size for a toggle switch and Decora device, so don't over-tighten your devices, slide the plate over it while fine-tuning, then secure the switches in place and install the plate again. You shouldn't have any problems if something cracks. When people break control panels, it almost always happens during installation because they screwed them on too tight. The screws holding the switches, not the ones holding the plate, must be used to adjust their position. If you try to press the switches with the plate forward, it means the switches are misaligned. When used correctly, this is ultimately a simple switch plate. All you really need to know is that it's the same quality as other Leviton plates, same size, right size for each switch, and comes with one pair of long and one pair of short screws for the switch and decora- device is delivered. There really isn't much that can go wrong as long as you set the switches correctly and know how to use a screwdriver.
