The first one I bought started to heat up and then went out after a few minutes. When I found it was off, I turned it off and on again and it did the same thing again. I don't know how long it took, but I don't think more than 15 minutes. The seller sent a replacement but I have to send the old one back which makes me think they will resell it. Even if they test it, they probably won't do anything other than see if it turns on. Moral of the story: Check your ceramic heaters daily and provide sensitive animals with an alternative heat source.
