td;dr: Works. Buy.Full: Purchased for competitive swimming. Didn't even get a chance to try until the first one. It was awkward to put on, but once the meeting started I completely forgot I had it. Being able to say that something takes a backseat and just does its damn job is the highest praise I can ask for. It just works. My back still hurt after 4 hours but not as bad as it used to. Maybe not much more than if I just stood there for 4 hours. I tested the clamps thoroughly before using them. They didn't separate. I never felt that the mechanism was unreliable or out of control. Equipment: Nikon D7200s with 28-70 f/2.8 (1790 g) and 70-200 f/2.8 (2275 g) = 4.06 kg / 9 lbs. (Actual measured weight.)
