Review on 🏷️ Brother P-touch PT1230PC Label Maker - PC-Connectable, No Software Required, Multiple Label Width Options, Compact Design, White Color by Robert Demissie

I only bought this to mark a few things around the house. I have to say that when I got this job I really enjoyed it. First I will describe the problems I encountered. After I put in 6 AAA batteries (or a 7-9V DC power adapter) and then connected it to my Windows 10 64-bit PC with the included USB cable, a file explorer popup showed an executable File to run (simple editing/printing software for the device). I then double-clicked the executable, which launched their software, but when I entered the information in the label field and clicked print, a label about two inches long came up with nothing on it. I double checked everything and tried again with the same result. At this point I googled "PT-1230PC downloads" and found a link to support.brother.com which contained the drivers and full editor software. I installed drivers which I thought fixed the problem, but after installing the driver the Windows Explorer popup with the executable stopped working. From there, unable to run their simple program from a popup window anymore, I installed the "FREE" full version downloaded from the web, which worked and printed just fine. Now that their drivers and full software application were downloaded and working perfectly, I was able to play around with them a bit. By default, the full program opens in the Express tab. This tab offers all the basic functions needed to print a label. However, if you are an advanced user, switching to the Professional tab gives you many more options. Some of these options include word art, barcodes, easier access to layouts, and more. Long story short, in my case I had to download their drivers and full software from their website. I had a lot of fun printing labels and I really like this handy label printer for the price. I have used manual labeling machines in the past which are very time consuming - would buy these anytime.
