Review on Sennheiser HD 599 SE Headphone by Anson Keith ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There are several shortcomings, in principle, it corresponds to the norm.

I thought that putting these headphones on to listen to music on my computer would be a good idea, but it turns out that watching movies and playing video games is where they really shine. A disproportionate amount of stress placed on the bass, warmth, and velvet. It works much like the hard and soft suspension settings on a car. This spot has a lot of give to it. Absolutely, you won't feel any discomfort even after riding on a soft suspension for several hours. But without taking pleasure in the vehicle's handling dynamics. The sound that is being produced here is not snappy, energetic, transparent, or booming to the extent that it should be. A strong accent placed on the delivery of the warm low and mid frequencies. Equalizer settings do not significantly eliminate this problem, and twisting the knobs will only make matters worse. Sound card with Realtek built right in. Based on the results of the tests, it does not appear to be inferior to discrete or external audio cards; consequently, I did not bother to replace the audio card. After doing some research on various online forums, I came to the realization that we are in need of an amplifier. which not so much adds volume as makes the sound more transparent and expands the sound stage. Initially, I spent a few thousand dollars on a low-end XUAMI amplifier, which gave the impression that the sound was getting better but did not adequately reflect the quality of the final product. After that, I decided to purchase a better amplifier (S. M. S. L.) for almost the same price as headphones (9,000). The addition of the amplifier made the sound more interesting, the lower frequencies became a little more gathered, and the higher frequencies began to manifest themselves in a slightly better manner. But despite this, it is not the same. Even with an amplifier, headphones do not pull a dynamic feed from the source. When you listen to music that is quick and energizing, you do not feel the drive, and the music does not catch. While this is going on, I've noticed that the headphones are absolutely gorgeous to use when watching movies or playing video games. A sound that is enveloping and velvety while simultaneously having a high level of detail, with excellent reproduction of virtual volume. Have never encountered anything like this before that's positive! When you put on these headphones and watch a movie, it's as if you're transported to a beautiful theater right away. I have lowered the rating because I believe that this product is intended for a specific market niche, and while it is excellent in some applications, it is not suitable for all.

Pros
  • The sound is clear and has just the right amount of warmth (there is a pronounced emphasis on bass). The fit on the head is very comfortable. Excellent for both watching movies and playing games on the computer.
Cons
  • Not the headphones for music! The sound produced by headphones is not very dynamic. A sound that is too dark has an emphasis on the lower and middle frequencies, both of which have a warm quality to them. Although the detail is maintained throughout the entirety of the range, there is an insufficient amount of energy and brightness in the sound, and the tops are crushed to a very decent degree. An amplifier is also required in this situation.
