Beautifully removes my track light from a deep-seated lamp. To get a good grip, press firmly on the surface to flatten it and twist slowly to really engage, then twist to remove the bulb. It's hard to explain but don't give up, it took me a few tries to get a secure lock and then it was easy every time. My track lights aren't easy to come by, so I strongly recommend that you attempt to fail with a spare bulb before attempting to climb up and tackle the actual fixture.
