To get a good grip, press firmly on the surface to smooth it out.

Beautifully removes my track light from a deep-seated lamp. To get a good grip, press firmly on the surface to flatten it and twist slowly to really engage, then twist to remove the bulb. It's hard to explain but don't give up, it took me a few tries to get a secure lock and then it was easy every time. My track lights aren't easy to come by, so I strongly recommend that you attempt to fail with a spare bulb before attempting to climb up and tackle the actual fixture.

Makes replacing halogen bulbs easy

The trick is to press on the cap and add a twist to release the halogen bulb from the socket. This little suction cup gives you the ability to apply rotation in cases where the rim of the bulb cannot be gripped. I watched the flue installer struggle to fit the bulbs correctly. It took him over 30 minutes for the 4 bulbs followed by a colorful description of how to properly install each bulb. It was 5 years ago. I used this little tool and replaced all 4 lightbulbs in less than 5 minutes knowing

Worst Revain purchase

This was a desperation purchase. I have a kitchen exhaust fan LED bulb that needs to be replaced and I couldn't get it out to save my life. After scouring the web for advice and watching tutorial videos on YouTube, we decided to buy this little sucker. Revain sent it in a large 11x17 blue and white bubble envelope - a waste of resources and sustainability - and it's the most fragile little piece of black rubber you've ever seen. Knowing it wouldn't work for me, I tried anyway. This isn't nearly

Highly Recommended Best in Ceiling Lights

This is a great tool that makes removing and installing recessed lighting easier. However, there is a learning curve and you must remember that practice makes perfect. Use it on the hot lightbulb. The heat will soften the rubber and make it suck less effectively. Rule 2: wobble, wobble, wobble. This little sucker doesn't have the torque to loosen a stubborn lightbulb. When the lightbulb is a few years old it can get sticky so be patient when removing it. Like this fancy lock that you have to…

Great tool for halogen lamps!

I replaced 2 GU10 lightbulbs in about 10 seconds that I couldn't replace before. There was no room between the reflector and the bulb to put my fingers through to clamp the bulb. There's even a small protrusion sticking out of the tool so you can easily rotate the bulb once you have the pins where they should be. The diameter of the completely flat suction cup is just under 1.5 inches (e.g. the ridge around the circumference of the piston or along the absolute outside of the piston). As for…

I was terribly disappointed because the suction is great but if you .

There is absolutely no way we can get our built in little GU10 halogen bulbs so I ordered an overpriced little tool. When I tried it I was terribly disappointed because the suction is great but when you twist the suction cup it just slides over the slippery surface of the bulb. I was about to send it back when I tried again and I think I figured out the secret. After attaching this suction cup to the lightbulb, you need to pull and then twist, and voila, the lightbulb comes out instantly. After

Works but better if only accessible from the side if possible

Served its purpose. It's just a little piece of rubber. It's much smaller than it appears in the picture, only about 1 inch in diameter. This is good though, as it's used to pull out those little flat bulbs. I wish it was held on with a little more force, it doesn't seem to seal as well as it should. Cleaning and drying both surfaces (the rubber and the bulb you will be removing) is crucial! Since the application is for a cooker hood, grease will be present and it must be perfectly clean…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

I don't understand the negative reviews, except that the younger generation just doesn't know how to use the suction cup, that's all. This is a soft black rubber suction cup with a rotating handle. We have those damn (I hate them!) GU10 recessed bulbs in both of our bathrooms and we lost the original suction cup that came with the fixtures. You can't get those pears out without him. Bought it, changed all five lightbulbs in the bathroom. Master bath in less than ten minutes, start to finish…

Ideal for GU10 and MR16 recessed lamps!

I bought a Nora NRS90-N20 track light with suction cup for MR16. Mom's bathroom light needed replacing and the old lights were stuck! Because the bulbs were recessed into the sockets, it was difficult to grasp the bulbs to rotate and remove them. They were GU10, so they had pin connectors that had to be rotated so they could be removed. The Nora Track Light's suction cup worked well to get the bulbs spinning so they could be taken off! By attaching them to the GU10 jar I was able to take the…
