I have no formal combat training but have trained with black belts and combat veterans. I'm over 6' and strong even for my size, but I would recommend a speed bag like this rather than an actual punching bag. This speed bag is easy to set up and use, comes with a pump and some neat reflex tests. The bag is not for strength training, but for reflex training. And he is excellent at it. I have a hard time throwing consecutive shots, which is the goal of training. I was already sweating after hitting him for a few minutes. Overall I would say this is a great product for anyone looking to improve their strokes, train their reflexes or just do some cardiovascular exercise.
