I just 3D printed an extension for my dock using the GameCube adapter, but running the GameCube cables through the living room to the TV stand is a hassle (especially with 3rd party GameCube controllers) . and their often very short cables). These extensions really did the trick for my setup! The plugs on extension cords are very tight, so you're more likely to pull the cord out of the adapter rather than the extension cord. I also didn't notice any noticeable lag in Smash when using it. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to extend the length of their GameCube controllers!
