The jacket does run smaller than expected - I normally wear an XS to S but ordered a L based on the reviews and that was the right size for me. I actually ordered a M and L, but returned the M. I bought the jacket for the ATM cave tour in Belize as I was worried about being too cold to enjoy the tour since we were going to be wet/in chilly water for several hours. And it saved me. I am always cold/get cold very easily and this jacket enabled me to really enjoy the tour. Other men and women in our group were cold, teeth chattering, and not having fun. By the end I was chilly too but it was bearable. Before we left for Belize, I saw a jacket like this in the store for $100 but was able to buy it here for less than half of that. I know I will use it in the future for snorkeling, swimming, etc. I saw some comments about the smell but it did not bother me (not that strong IMO) and you can air it out. It is light when wet and dries relatively quickly which is also a bonus when you're in and out of cold water.
