I'm one of those crazy people who study way too much for something as simple as a small table lamp. For me, however, the brightness and color of the light is very important. So this light has a great color spectrum from warm to cool and has a pretty decent brightness. Why only 2 stars you ask? Because despite good color and brightness, the light does not remain at the set brightness level. You want a lot of light and want to turn the light up to maximum brightness? You can expect it to stay at that brightness for around 37 seconds, after which it will automatically dim. Everyone. Lonely. Time. This also happens when the brightness is below maximum (in lumens), but is most consistent at maximum brightness. I've tried everything I can think of, but the problem remains. It's so consistent, in fact, that I'm pretty sure it's intentional and built in, perhaps to extend the life of the LEDs. Either way, this is a great lamp UNLESS brightness isn't a huge issue for you. However, if you care about details or use for fine sewing, I strongly recommend you to look at another lamp.
