Possibly one of the best AIO coolers I've installed in a computer system. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to control their pace. I mainly work on a workstation, I code, I work with multiple virtual machines, I'm the power user type who plays games from time to time. Water cooling isn't just for gaming and is a powerful feature for any type of user. So don't let this simple misconception stop you from enjoying longer component life and a quieter system. However, there are a few important things to note: 1) It's more important for those mounting the heatsink to the front of the case: measure from the area in your case where the heatsink meets the processor. The rubber hoses are thick, and the way they mount to the CPU bracket at a 90 degree angle doesn't allow them to lay very flat, they maintain a fairly tight bend to the heatsink. Instead, measure more crescent-shaped from the heatsink area to the processor. This will give you a better idea of whether you have enough length for the job. If you happen to be mounting this on the back or top of the case where the heatsink is in close proximity to the processor, don't worry. 2) When you turn this on for the first time, don't be surprised if there is a lot of noise coming from the motor in the CPU block, including vibration, gurgling, gurgling, goblins, gnomes or any other unnatural noise that may come from it. During shipping, it's impossible to tell how many bubbles have spread through the tubing, heatsink, and processing unit. While it sounds like something is moving there, let it run for a few minutes. It took about 5 minutes for the pump in my system to pump enough liquid to get all the air bubbles where they should be and as soon as that happened the system went silent. It hasn't made any noise since then and has been running noiselessly and flawlessly for a few days now. If you're concerned about thermal damage to the CPU, remove the RAM from the motherboard so it won't pass POST but still power the additional fans. This allows you to clean the system without subjecting the processor to thermal stress. If you're still nervous after the gurgling noises go away, boot into the BIOS and watch the CPU temperature from there for a few more minutes to make sure everything looks fine. 3) The CPU box comes with thermal paste already installed and ready to use. That's great if you forgot to buy something before you want to install this kit. So it comes out of the box, which I thought was pretty nice, but wasn't explicitly advertised anywhere. Well, for those who intend to use this for higher power CPUs, heavy gaming, overclocking, etc. I may suggest having an extra plastic scraper handy and scraping it off the copper block so you can gently apply your desired cooling paste. of your choice (Arctic, Deepcool, Grizzly, etc.). 4) It doesn't take a super nerd or computer genius to install this, although they can complete the process quicker. If you take your time and take your time, almost anyone can do it on the first try with no problems. If in doubt, check out Google or YouTube - there are plenty of AIO installation videos (including this one) that will cover almost any question you may have.
