These shoes last a very long time (in my opinion). I usually wear them to work, but they've become almost my everyday shoes. The slip resistance is excellent, the insoles are very well made and easy to clean and polish. I remember moving a few years ago. It was raining and my apartment building had these concrete pebble steps, but it was summer so I was wearing shorts. I originally wore sneakers and carried the box up the stairs and of course the stairs were a bit slippery and I almost slipped off the stairs! After I calmed down I immediately switched to these shoes (which I wear to work) and they lasted so well! I didn't care how I looked. Just an added bonus. If they start to sag around the arch of your foot, place them in the sun for a few hours. They shrink and fit snugly to your leg.
