The best teapot I've ever had! A self-proclaimed tea snob, I import tea from around the world and take the time and care to brew every cup I drink. So when I say it's the best, I really mean it. No other kettle has ever matched the results of this kettle! I was against metal teapots for a long time because I thought they added an odd taste to my cup of heaven, I think I just had the wrong teapots. After that, I will never use ceramic for my ritual cups again. The temperature consistency, the speed at which it reaches temperature and the length of time it holds temperature are phenomenal. Simply heated with tap water and then poured properly boiled water into this pot, it will stay hot for hours. The temperature characteristics also result in the mildest-tasting cup of tea, as all of the heat goes into the tea. The teapot is not only practical, it is also beautiful. The detail and colors are amazing and it is the centerpiece of any counter or table I place it on. The construction is amazing, the inner plating is heavy and strong as is the outer. The handle is well secured, turns easily and confidently carries a surprisingly heavy pan. The stain pours evenly and the lid fits snugly and securely every time. The stainless steel sieve is also of high quality. If I had to single out one downside it would be that the creases in the infuser strainer can trap used tea and make cleaning a little more of a hassle than it could be.
