This kettle is solid and at a fantastic price. This is attractive to the eye but is effective in keeping the tea hot. I pour in boiling water before adding more for tea. It stays hot for a long time. I usually like to brew tea for 15 minutes and have never had a teapot with hot tea in it. It might seem like a small thing, but it's those little things that make this teapot awesome!
