The bristles are coming out like crazy!

Got this today for a job I needed to do right away. Place polyurethane on a pine table. The bristles come out like crazy and you have to constantly stop, remove the bristles and go over the area again. The work takes much longer than I wanted. You definitely don't want to paint the wall with it!
