Review on 🧗 Boostic Climbing Shoe by Scarpa by Jason Vigil

I have a pair of Scarpa VS for 41 euros so I ordered a pair of Boostics in the same size. I also carry the €40 Solution, the €39 Pythons, the €40.5 Miura VS and the €42.5 Evolv Shaman (remember Evolv?). There are slight differences in the fit of the Scarpa VS and BoosticThe VS shoes. has a lower toe profile with a slightly wider toe box. Boostic is slightly narrower and higher. The Boostic feels a bit softer at the top of the toes and adapts to your foot faster than the VS. The VS has a lot more rubber on the toes and is on par with the VS. like every piglet there. However, this means braking duration is much longer and the top of the toes tends to take the brunt of the impact due to the low profile and high amount of rubber on the top. The VS has 3mm edge rubber, Boostic 4mm, there is definitely more feel in the VS. Boostic appears to be more rigid. The Boostic Edge is much better, especially the inside edge, the outside edge of the Boostic isn't as good at this stage, the shape is a bit different and the Boostic is newer so that might change. The arch fit of the VS is slightly higher than that of the Boostic. The heel of the VS is slightly lower and the rubber is not as thick and more responsive. I prefer the VS heel and arch fit. The reinforced heel, although a little less volume, still fits well, never moves and works very well. I found I could use more of the heel for the boosts without worrying about slipping. The VS has an orange stripe which is slippery compared to the rubber, you need to be more precise with the VS. Both shoes smudge well, if not brilliantly, the weakest point on these shoes definitely smudges the shoes better there. At this stage I prefer VS. I prefer softer and more responsive shoes to lubricate. All in all fantastic shoes. If you want a shoe that does an excellent job at most other tasks, then this is a great option.
