Review on SaltyShrimp Sulawesi Minerals Elements Cardinal Fish & Aquatic Pets by Robin Evans

Revainrating 4 out of 5

That's good for the Sulawesi cardinal shrimp!

I have used it and it seems to help my Sulawesi cardinal shrimp. It's difficult to mix, however, as the directions call for a "heaping spoonful" while mixing, making it difficult to know exactly how much. To do this, I used a scale and came up with a mixing ratio: 1 pound of reverse osmosis water for every 0.07 gram of this mineral. It goes something like this: 1 lb RO / 0.07 g minerals. You can use a sparkling water generator like SodaStream to mix these hard-to-dissolve minerals thoroughly. For example, in my case I would use 2.68 gallons of reverse osmosis water and pour it into a bucket with a water pump to stir/circulate the water; Carbonate 1.32 gallons of reverse osmosis water and pour into a mixing bucket. Then use 1 gallon of fresh reverse osmosis water to reduce/adjust the water to the correct TDS of around 115-140 TDS as shown by Mark's Shrimp Tanks. In fact, this is the best way to blend those hard-to-dissolve minerals, and it's all thanks to Mark's Shrimp Tanks. — Yong.
