I have a 10 year old Miniature Pinscher mix who is developing arthritis in his hips. She only lasts about 15 minutes on walks, after which she begins dragging her hind legs (and grinding down her nails on her hind legs). First I tried it with a side suspension, but it turned out to be completely unstable. At first she HATED this new front pocket, but once she realized she had yet to explore the exterior, she got used to it a little more. She definitely won't be able to escape once she's inside and more comfortable (with more treats). She barely fits the largest size (she weighs about 16 pounds) but for her size it's fine. She was in it for about 20 minutes at a time. I will use it more for our long walks in summer because her feet hurt too much. I LOVE this carrier. We look adorable in it and I'm completely satisfied with it.
