Update: My 1 star rating will stand.I really wanted this thing to work out but the replacement was the same. Worked for about an hour (and in fact the new one was slower than the first one) and then died. Plugged in to charge and nothing. New batteries and nothing. I'll just be getting a refund on this one and putting it toward a better one.Honestly, I can't figure out all the positive reviews unless they're paid or bots. This thing is junk.Original review:After reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I decided this would be a great first RC car for my 5 year old. As soon as he opened it, he loved it. Got it going with no problem. The control is really easy to use and after some practice he had it going all over the place.Well, a short time after the thing just stops. No indication why at all. My son is 5, but he's not rough on his toys, especially the ones he really likes, like this one. My instinct was that the batteries that shipped with it were probably not the greatest, so I got a fresh set and still nothing.After looking at some more reviews, it looks like I'm one of the unlucky ones that got a lemon. At least I hope so. I asked my son if he wanted to pick a different one because I'm not inclined to buy a product again that doesn't work the first time, but he is set on this one so we're going to send it back and see if the second one works for more than a day. If it does, I will update this review accordingly.
