Great Product - Case

Great Product. Or I just don't want to. It comes complete with bearings, hub, c-clamp and axle nut. It comes with a new axle nut to the torque specified directly on the box. Make sure you use a new one and install with the correct torque, too much and you can damage your axle, too little and it can cause real damage to your car, the old nut is a self-tapping bolt and will need to be replaced when doing this job . That's a good job, I did a 2004 Ford Explorer and replaced both sides. The hardest part is inserting a chisel behind the knuckle to relieve pressure and remove the old block. My best bet was to first remove the tie rod, then loosen the bottom bolt on the knuckle, and then use a pointed chisel or air chisel to push the axle as far as possible while lifting the underside of the old knuckle. until it clears the axle and twist to open the clamp to remove it from the car. Weigh your options with this article, good bearings and hubs along with the axle nut will likely be cheaper, but if you're moving on to better bearings (National) along with any other necessary hardware you'll find to assemble the kit yourself then you'll need it You either get a press or you pay someone to do it for you. Installing cheap bearings is not the best option for this job. (The old bearings only ran 9,000 miles before falling apart). You will need to remove the entire emergency brake and move it onto the new steering knuckle as this brake is located behind the hub and refitting can be problematic. new item. I've added a picture showing the brake parts that need to be removed from the old one. If you have never changed your emergency brakes now is the time, mine were fine but all the hardware was rusty and can no longer be adjusted. The picture shows the parts I had to replace. (shiny parts) Knuckle is an exact replacement for the original, Moog does have their name on both sides but once installed you don't see either, it's well finished and all the highlights match perfectly. The photos were added for you, the seller for some reason didn't bother to add any details about the item, most of us like to see what we are buying so I thought I would do that for them. Advantages. Well made, perfect fit. Very fast shipping. Disadvantages. The coating designed to slow down rust seems to be nothing but black color, it doesn't matter if it rusts anyway, it has nothing to do with the product, look under your car and you'll find that the originals do too are rusty.
