Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ DELL D6000 USB 3.0 (3.1 Gen 1) Type-C Nero Docking Station by Colin Zilinskas

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Performance is unstable when fully loaded.

Summary: The docking station is slim, has a low profile, and if you're using a lighter boot, it might work for you. It doesn't work consistently when trying to use the dock's full potential (using all ports). The keyboard keeps disconnecting, lagging and trying to fix itself, sometimes repeating the same character over and over. Feedback from sound systems and intermittent power supply from USB Connect devices appear to be the root cause of the issue. I haven't had this problem with other docking stations. For the price one would have expected more reliability. For reference I connect three monitors, 2 27" IPS 1 TN monitors (both with 2 DisplayPort) and 1 24" TN monitor (HDMI), keyboard, mouse and Studio 192 audio system. I could hook up a webcam, but it's already struggling with this load. Under the described load, the audio from my audio system is choppy (but sometimes feedback-stable) and my keyboard turns on and off randomly, which has never happened with other cheaper docking stations (they only worked with two monitors, though). ). via DVI and HDMI). Even without an audio interface, the problem with the keyboard persists. I'm building a computer so I'm going back to my old dock for my work laptop and giving this to my fiancรฉ on her desk. It puts a lot less stress on the dock, so it works great for them. However, I handle music and video production, development and games and other basic tasks on the side. In the meantime, I'm tempted to try a different dock for my needs, but I think the sensible plan is to wait, assemble my PC, and then download the dock for my work laptop for a bit. . Unfortunately, this pier didn't work for me, but at least my fiancรฉ got an elegant pier.
