I have to admit I was skeptical. But I had hope, so I decided to try it. They stretch like the waistband of a pair of jeans. I have medium thick hair and when my hair is straightened it holds up quite well. It looks more like a relaxed ponytail than a high, strong ponytail, but it works great if you just want your hair out of your face for a while and then still have straight hair with no bunch! I'm really glad I found this because because my hair is so long and thick it takes forever to straighten it and then it gets messy so quickly when I want my hair out of my face for a minute . These colors are natural colors so they will work with any color you have, even if you're switching between dark and light hair.
