My Moen shower cartridge is worn out. I bought this cartridge after the sale because I figured it should perform as well as a real Moen cartridge and still save some money. I installed the cartridge with no problems, but it didn't work very well. When the valve was wide open, it didn't deliver as much water pressure as the original. It also caused my water line to hit the wall due to a pressure issue; I don't understand how it happened, but it happened. I also had to reinstall the cartridge a few times as the large rubber grommets on the sides moved when the cartridge was installed. Fed up with the problems, I spent extra money on the original Moen cartridge. After installation all problems are gone. The after sale cartridge was half the price and worked but I would recommend spending the extra money and avoiding the issues I was having.
