Worst dog bed I've ever purchased. My dogs won't go near it. Even the cat refuses to use it.

Worst dog bed ever. My dogs won't go near it, they'd rather sleep on the hardwood floors. Even the cat wants nothing to do with it.Construction: Garbage. No, seriously. They took foam that was probably in someone's garbage and cut it up into tiny pieces and stuff their dog bed with it. It's the only thing that makes sense. The center cushion comes vacuum packed so you don't see how bad it is right at first. The instructions tell you to allow it to expand and then fluff the foam pieces to bulk out the cushion. Well, I let it sit there almost an hour and it never expanded. So I started to fluff it thinking that might be the reason it wasn't expanding. That's when I learned the "cushion" is nothing but bits and pieces of scrap foam packed into a flimsy cheesecloth-like wrapper. In the process of "fluffing" I accidentally tore open the "fabric". It just kept going down hill from there. I taped up the thumb-sized hole and continued trying to fluff the scrap foam bits. Then I put it in the outer shell, packed the tube cushion into the ring, and assembled the bed.One of my dogs owns all of the dog beds. They are all hers, just ask her. Every dog bed I've brought home she's immediately taken ownership of. Not this one. I put this one on the floor and she wouldn't go near it. It isn't the overall design.we have another "fur" dog bed that has the same basic shape and she loves that one. But that one is in our vacation property not at our main residence. The older dog who vacillates between the floor, the couch, and the dog beds won't go near it either. She literally gives it a wide berth in the room. The cat is not one to turn up a fluffy dog bed.she won't go near it either.None of my animals has gotten on it once. My daughter brought her dog over, and he's old and loves sleeping on dog beds. He sniffed it and walked away. He never got on it the two days he was staying with us.After having it for about 2 weeks now, the center cushion is hard. It feels like it is stuffed with tightly balled up newspaper. That isn't what is turning off the dogs.they literally won't go near it.I have to wonder if there isn't something in the garbage foam they used that the dogs can smell and don't like. I'm all for recycling as much as possible, but this was a waste of money. There just HAS to be something in the recycled foam they've used to make this bed. Maybe others got a better batch of recycled foam bits in their beds, but I was not so lucky.I cannot recommend this bed at any price.
