So Revain doesn't like my reviews and they just deleted them and don't show them anymore. I will try again. This is the version that Carlinkit calls 2.0 and is the latest version as far as I know. It uses 5GHz WiFi to connect your phone to your stereo and activate Carplay. It takes 20-30 seconds to connect and then everything works fine. I have this on a Kenwood DMX7706S secondary master and it works great. As you can see from my picture I first bought what was listed as version 2.0 on Revain and when it arrived I found that it was actually version 1.0 which does not have a detachable cable. This worked pretty well, but version 3.0 (actually 2.0) works a bit better and has a detachable cable, which comes in handy when you need a longer cable. Just get this version. This is the one you need. I spoke to someone from Carlinkit and they said that there is only one version of this device. Don't get confused by the options for models designed for different cars. There is only one version. Also, don't let the "OEM Carplay Only" label fool you. It just means it doesn't work with devices that don't have wired carplay yet. This also works with most Kenwood, Alpine and Pioneer decks. It works very well in my Kenwood. It was a great purchase. It very rarely has connection issues, but does occasionally have buffering or crashes, but to be honest it's a lot less than what I've had with a wired connection. I would definitely buy this again. It's convenient to just get in the jeep and remember to plug in your phone and find a safe place for it, it's really great.
